Junior League – Kidsport Vouchers

The Balcatta Volleyball Club is a KidSport approved club.
KidSport enables eligible Western Australian children aged 5-18 years to participate in community sport and recreation by offering them financial assistance towards club fees.
To find out if you are eligible for this funding and how to apply, please visit the KidSport page on the DSR website by clicking the following link.

Note: If you apply for a KidSport voucher and it is approved, you will receive an email with a unique validation code for the voucher. This must be sent to the Club Treasurer to enable the club to claim the money from the council.

Balcatta State League Trials 2019

Balcatta Trials
Trials are coming!!
This season sees a few changes within the competition structure and the introduction of State League!
Balcatta Volleyball Club will be hosting trials to represent the club at these levels. We invite all athletes that want to trial for State League 1 & 2 to come down to Newman College and trial. Don’t worry if State League isn’t your thing then we will have the Division trials the week following the conclusion of trials!

Notice is hereby given that an Annual General Meeting of Members of Balcatta Volleyball Club will be held at 6.00pm on Thursday 22 March 2018 at Newman College School Gym.

Persons eligible to vote at this Annual General Meeting are those members who are financial members of the Club prior to the commencement of the meeting.

Act RequirementsPersons who are not to be members of Committee
Under section 39 of the Act the following persons must not, without leave of the Commissioner, accept an appointment or act as a member of a management committee of an association:

  • a person who is, according to the Interpretation Act 1984 section 13D, a bankrupt or person whose affairs are under insolvency laws;
  • a person who has been convicted, within our outside the State, of-
  • an indictable offence in relation to the promotion, formation or management of a body corporate; or
  • an offence involving fraud or dishonesty punishable by imprisonment for a period of not less than three months; or
  • an offence under Part 4 Division 3 or section 127 of the Act

Section 39 only applies to a person who has been convicted of the above offences only for a period of 5 years from the time of the person’s conviction, or if the conviction results in a term of imprisonment, from the time of the person’s release from custody.
